Advanced Coastal Cruising
ASA 106
Take your sailing skills to the next level by learning how to sail safely at night, how to handle the boat by yourself, and how to get in and out of anchorages without an engine.

This course will teach you how to plan for longer passages. You'll learn how to use weather routing software, night sailing equipment, and you'll participate in a watch schedule to cover passages to and from St. Croix that involve night sailing.

Each ASA certification requires participants satisfy knowledge and skills standards, which will be verified through a written exam and an on-the-water practical exam. Completion of the course does not guarantee certification, and the instructor has discretion to determine whether a student has met the requirements for certification.

Your tuition includes:
-
7 days and 6 nights on a first class, well-maintained sailboat.

ASA textbooks.
-
Provisioning the boat with food for breakfasts, lunches, and half of dinners on board. The other half of the dinners will be had on shore.

Mooring fees.
-
Fuel and water for the boat.

-
