Learn the basics of sailing on a 30 foot racing sailboat for a day while you settle into life on our 40-50 foot catamaran, then spend the week building and expanding on those skills as we sail around the British and US Virgin Islands. Whether you want to be able to bareboat charter sailboats with your friends and family or live on your own cruising boat, this course will give you the skills and confidence you need to reach your goals.

Your class materials will be mailed to you upon signing up for the course. Those with no prior sailing experience typically have no problem reaching ASA 101 and 103, and with enough preparation before the trip, often reach ASA 104 by the end of the week. Those with prior sailing experience have an easier time reaching ASA 104 but still benefit greatly by reviewing all of the class material before the course, especially if they want to make more time for fun relaxation during the course.

Each ASA certification requires participants satisfy knowledge and skills standards, which will be verified through a written exam and an on-the-water practical exam. Completion of the course does not guarantee certification, and the instructor has discretion to determine whether a student has met the requirements for certification.

Your tuition includes:

• 7 days and 6 nights on a first class, well-maintained sailboat.

• ASA textbooks, log book, 1 year ASA membership.

• Provisioning the boat with food for breakfasts, lunches, and half of dinners on board. The other half of the dinners will be had on shore.

• Customs & Immigration costs for travel into and out of the BVI.

• Mooring fees.

• Fuel and water for the boat.

Not included:

• ~3 meals ashore.

• Alcoholic beverages.

• Instructor gratuity (10-15% at your discretion)
